Last week was a powerful gathering. More than 45 community members came together to dance, laugh, and share heartfelt moments amidst the troubling authoritarian actions taking place just blocks away. We thank you for bringing joy and solidarity to our space. As Nancy Halpern Ibrahim, Executive Director of Esperanza Community Housing, so eloquently reminded us:
“Joy is an act of revolutionary resistance.”
As ICE continues to carry out aggressive actions across Los Angeles, we encourage everyone to remain vigilant. Let us protect one another and uphold our sanctuary city.
