Third Annual South Central Film Festival

Esperanza Community Housing and L.A. Grit Media are proud to present the Third Annual South Central Film Festival, which is dedicated to amplifying underrepresented voices and showcasing emerging talent in cinema.

Join us to celebrate the beauty and strength of Indigenous, Black, Brown, LGBTQIA2S+, and immigrant communities through powerful storytelling.

The festival kicks off on Friday, November 8th and goes through Saturday, November 9th, for two days of film screenings, panel discussions, and live entertainment. 

Day One - November 8 (Conference room)

Special Musical Guests

DIA LUNA
A creative collaboration between Mexican-American artist Andrea Diaz and producer Tomas Deltoro-Diaz, DIA LUNA delivers a unique fusion of art-rock, R&B, and experimental sounds. Check out their latest single, "The Door," released this October!

Day Two - November 9

5:00pm - 6:30pm – Animation screenings (conference room)

5:00pm - 6:30pm – Film shorts screenings (Outside)

6:30 – 7:30pm – Panel discussion and awards (Outside)

7:30 – 8:30 – Live Performance by Cuicani

Special Musical Guests
Cuicani
This five-member collective combines soulful, Latin, and Afro-Caribbean beats with reggae, dancehall, cumbia, timba, son, rock, and blues. They are as dedicated to their music as they are to community activism and education.

Admission:Free and open to the public.

Donations are welcome to continue to grow the South Central Film Festival.
